April 5, 2012. Durham, NC.. Joe's Diner has begun to sell barbecue and ribs. As of this week, his new grill will debut on the sidewalk outside the restaurant.. After 2 years and approximate losses of over $100,000, the TROSA grocery store on Angier Ave. in East Durham will be closing its doors June 1. Opened in an effort to bring healthier food options to an underserved, low income neighborhood, the store was unable to generate enough business to turn a profit, or break even.
